This was my second finished piece created during my BonSol residency. Inspired by the same vision I had for ‘Tres hibiscus’, remembering flowers I had admired on my first walk around the area - 3 really vividly coloured hibiscus and this amazing overgrown bougainvillea - half vibrant purple, half wilting ochre. This one includes the beautiful golden pindo palm dates that were hanging from the trees. We even had large clusters of them suspended in the gallery for our exhibition - as a chandelier. Another daydream come to life.
